Your role:

The world around us is changing. New EU directives, legislation, and the growing demand for reliable product data are placing increasingly higher demands on the products we develop and deliver.

That’s why we’re looking for a driven and proactive Product Compliance & Quality Specialist who will ensure our products continue to meet the highest quality standards and current regulations.

In this versatile role, you'll identify relevant EU legislation in a timely manner, develop improvement proposals, and implement them independently or in collaboration with colleagues. You’ll be actively involved in topics like WEEE regulations, sustainability directives, and the associated administrative processes.

You are a key link in our organization and will work closely with purchasing, product development, and sales.

Your Responsibilities:

  • 1. Product Compliance

    • Ensure products comply with relevant EU and international legislation and translate this knowledge into tactical and operational aspects such as product packaging and internal processes (CE marking, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, EPR, GPSR, ESPR).

    • Identify new and upcoming regulations early, translate them into practical proposals, and implement them in our processes.

    • Manage technical documentation and certifications, including creating and maintaining compliance files and preparing relevant documents.

    • Provide advice on EU legislation, focusing on non-food products for retail and e-commerce clients, aligned with our current and future product offerings.

  • 2. Quality Improvement

    • Perform quality checks on products and suppliers.

    • Develop and implement quality guidelines and procedures.

    • Analyze complaints and quality issues, and coordinate improvement actions.

    • Analyze product returns, identify trends, and implement improvements in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

    • Work with purchasing and sales teams to resolve quality and compliance matters.

  • 3. Data Management & Process Optimization

    • Structure and manage product information in ERP systems (e.g., AFAS or Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel.

    • Implement and manage a database with technical reports, safety sheets, and risk analyses.

    • Create and analyze compliance and quality reports.

    • Experience with GS1 Datasource or similar standards is a strong plus.

Your profile:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Product Law, or Supply Chain.

  • At least 3 years of experience in product compliance, quality management, or regulatory affairs.

  • Experience with quality management in various non-food product categories such as electronics, household items, or general consumer goods is a plus.

  • Experience at a manufacturer, importer, retailer, supplier, or brand is a plus.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with ERP systems.

  • Professional command of the English language; Dutch is a plus.

  • Knowledge and experience with GS1 Datasource or similar standards is a plus.
